In Forbes, Ron Shevlin discussed the new initiative from Mark Cuban and Jill Castilla, CEO of Citizens Bank of Edmond, called PPP.bank; this is a free resource for small businesses that have received a PPP loan and are applying for forgiveness, it automates the 11-page forgiveness application and generates a PDF to provide the lender; when asked about community banks and small business Mark Cuban said, “I’m shocked that every community bank in the country isn’t doing what Citizens Bank of Edmond and Vista Bank are doing. Effectively, the CARES Act gave small banks the ability to tell new customers they would loan them money they didn’t have to pay back if they came to their bank.” Forbes
