As we get closer to the launch of LendIt Fintech’s biggest conference of the year, we wanted to quickly share with you three strategies for maximizing your time.
Network like a champion
Number one, without a doubt, is taking a systematic approach to networking. Conferences are good for those random collisions between industry professionals, but they are great when creative collisions are planned in advance. Our app-based networking tool is purpose-built for just that.
Everyone has access to the app but you sign in to be available for networking. Follow the link you received during registration to activate your account, set your profile, and search for great connections. If you take networking seriously, I guarantee you will have an amazing event. It’s a good idea to set up at least five meetings pre-event and eight more onsite.
Keep in mind you need to register for the app — your inclusion is not automatic with your registration. So follow that link and move the networking needle.
Be strategic about your time
Number two: plan your days in advance. Envision how you want to spend your day, and calendar it that way. We suggest identifying your must-attend sessions and adding those to your personal agenda within the app. Slots left open are now available for your 1:1 networking meetings.
Social events and parties are a big part of the LendIt Fintech conference experience. There are dozens of events & extracurriculars to choose from — don’t know where to go? Check out the Art of Innovation party sponsored by LendIt at the end of Day 1.
Sample a little of everything
Number three: Make sure to take it all in. Are you the commensurate networker? Make sure to balance your time with the sessions upstairs — we are world-renowned for the content we put onstage. Are you an information maven? Set aside some time to get into the exhibition hall on the main floor — there is nothing like getting up close & personal with the companies that are making it happen. Check out what they have to offer. (The exhibition hall is always my favorite place to roam.)
Fundamental to your experience is understanding what you want to get out of the conference. Start with the end in mind: are you coming to find game-changing partnerships? Know that, and craft your experience around your goals.
We want to create an incredible experience for you. Have a suggestion or a question? Let us know!
