A study of around 15,000 consumers in 15 different countries by Dutch bank ING found that the British are wary of using fintech innovations; 70% of Brits still go into a branch for banking services and 63% have never used fingerprint or voice recognition in their banking app; conversely, the study found that 69% think banks should deliver the latest technologies to their customer; the study’s author, Jessica Exton, an ING behavioral scientist, said, “Consumers indicate that they want banks and other financial institutions to stay in the lead by developing new ways to help them manage their money despite any reluctance to accept them immediately.” Source.
