LendIt Fintech Expanding News and Editorial Coverage

Fintech is hot right now, that will not be news to many readers. While this publication is the longest continuously running news site in fintech (starting in 2010) we have not covered the news in any depth or breadth for some time. I have been the primary writer and have not had the bandwidth to produce more content. But that is all about to change.

Yesterday, LendIt Fintech began a new chapter with the hiring of both a professional editor and a fintech journalist. So, you will be seeing us lift our game from now on. We will be covering every major fintech story as it breaks and will be delving more in-depth into the most important trends in fintech.

Our new editor is John White, who used to run Bankless Times, so he comes armed with excellent knowledge of fintech already and many years of editorial experience. Here is what he had to say about joining the LendIt team:

Peter and the team at Lendit are pioneers in the space and have the vision and commitment to lead the industry.

We recognize the need for robust objective journalism in the fintech space, and I’m eager to help build out the news team to deliver more original reporting and take our fintech coverage to an even larger audience.

Our new staff journalist is Kevin Travers, who used to write for deBanked. Here is what he says about starting at LendIt:

I’m excited to join the Lendit team, and I look forward to bringing years of multimedia reporting to the table as we focus on covering the fintech ecosystem with good old-fashioned, handmade, and home-brewed journalism.
After what feels like ten years of COVID, the biggest changes are still to come: I see the next decade as a digital roaring ’20s for anything related to financial tech. As we grow and change, Lendit will be one of the only publications to cover that revolution exclusively. I’m looking forward to talking to you all, reach me at kevin@lendit.com with leads, ideas, and questions.

So, you can expect more from us going forward. This industry has never been more exciting and you can rely on LendIt Fintech to keep you informed and educated about the rapid changes happening every day in fintech.

And we will welcome story ideas. Please submit via our new online form.
