Eighteen months ago Marcus launched their easy access savings account; now they are launching a one year fixed savings account which pays 1.45%, more than many of the other traditional banks; AltFi notes that better rates are available through OakNorth, Investec or Vanquis Bank but many may not be as familiar with those names; Des McDaid, managing director of Marcus stated, “We are committed to offering customers different products to suit different needs and savings goals, particularly during this time of uncertainty…The launch of our 1 Year Fixed Rate Saver provides our customers with more options to manage their finances by allowing them to lock in their rate for a 12-month term.” Altfi
