Monzo has officially launched their first product for businesses; the bank has shared that they hope to be profitable in the next two to three years and generating additional revenue streams will be important if they are to be successful; other recent launches include their entrance into the US market and their new plans for premium accounts; small businesses and freelancers will have two options including Business Lite and Business Pro; Business Lite is the free offering and Business Pro costs £5 a month; according to Mike Kennelly, director of PwC open banking, one of the benefits of pursuing business banking is that people are more willing to pay for it; in addition this is an area that many competitors are still not focused on.
