Earlier this month I launched a discussion forum here on the Social Lending Network. I had never done this before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Several members warned me about the spam problem and they were right (thanks to Peerlend and bilgefisher for your help).
In a little over two weeks my site garnered over 1,500 “members” and just yesterday alone there was around 20 spam messages that I had to manually delete. The forum was drowning in spam. So I hired someone to help me get rid of this spam and put some anti-spam processes in place. They were successful in doing that.
However, in our attempt to get rid of all the spammers some legitimate accounts have been deleted. For that, I sincerely apologize and if your account was one of them I hope you will consider rejoining. I promise it won’t happen again.
